WAG Symbols Version 1.3

The next release of the WAG Symbols application will have the possibility to create WAG Documents. A WAG document contains a list of apparatuses that each contains a set of elements. So it will be possible to create a document that contains only elements for a certain level (where gymnasts are required to pick elements from a limited list). This will speed up creating text documents since the number of elements to choose from is smaller. On the other hand, it allows us to provide you with all 2000+ elements that are already defined in the WAG Symbols Encoding Scheme.

Many people experience problems when using the application on Microsoft Vista. We hope to have solved these problems in the next release. We will test the application on Windows XP and Windows Vista, and with Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007.

WAG Routine Editor

Being able to use WAG symbols in a text document is a good start. To visualise complete routines with respect to connected elements and element values is even better. The WAG Routine Editor just does this. A beta version is been presented to the WAG-WTC at the 2007 world championships in Stuttgart and they loved it. The Belgian delegation used this application to create the routine documents submitted to the WTC prior to the podium training. If we can get the permission from the head coach, we will include it here as an example of what is coming up.

It is not decided yet whether the routine editor will be sold as stand alone application whether as part of the WAG Symbols application.
